Registration and Participation

Registration is closed at this time.

EuroSys’20 has transformed into a virtual event, using the Zoom platform for streaming pre-recorded talks followed by live Q&A. Significant effort was made to provide an interactive conference experience while minimizing uncertainties of virtual presentation and attendance.

EuroSys’20 sessions are scheduled with an eye towards both topic and presenter time zone. For each paper, a short 3-5 minute “advertisement” video will be played, followed by moderated Q&A for another 5-10 minutes (for a total of 15 minutes per paper). After all  presentations, the floor will open for Q&A for all speakers in the session. EuroSys’20 will additionally feature a Slack workspace and channels where interaction can continue asynchronously after the end of Zoom sessions. Finally, longer speaker videos (10-12 minutes) will be posted at the website prior to the event. These longer videos will provide an opportunity for authors to convey more detail on their work.

The online program is available here.

Due to the experimental nature of organizing a virtual conference in such a short time in light of COVID-19, EuroSys’20 adopted an exceptional, one-time policy of waiving registration fees for virtual attendance. Note that registration for the virtual event is mandatory. Participation is subject to capacity constraints and priority is given to speakers, paper authors, ACM/SIGOPS and EuroSys members, and past EuroSys attendees. Depending on availability, please allow 3-4 business days for confirmation of your participation in virtual EuroSys’20.  If your registration is confirmed, you will receive a link to the Zoom session and a password for attending. Credentials are strictly personal and may not be shared.

In transforming EuroSys’20, we benefited from an ongoing discussion led by the ACM Presidential Task Force on What Conferences Can Do to Replace Face-to-Face Meetings, culminating in a guide to best practices for virtual conferences.

The organizers of EuroSys’20 greatly appreciate the generous support of our sponsors (Microsoft, RedHat, VMWare, Facebook, Google, Oracle), especially during the transition towards the virtual conference.
