Instruction to Authors

Poster submissions consist of two pages: a one-page extended abstract (text box of max 7×9 inches, two columns, font size of minimum 10pt, including references), followed by a draft of the proposed poster.

Use the same template as the full papers. Specifically, use the official SIGPLAN Latex or MS Word templates from https://www.acm.org/publications/authors/submissions. For Latex, we recommend you use:

\documentclass[sigplan,10pt]{acmart}
\renewcommand\footnotetextcopyrightpermission[1]{}
\pagestyle{plain}
...
\settopmatter{printfolios=true}
\maketitle

Poster submissions corresponding to accepted EuroSys papers do not need to provide an extended abstract, but they do need to provide the poster draft.

Submissions must include a title, author names and affiliations, a note indicating which authors (if any) are students, and an indication of which author will present the poster.
Posters can be accompanied by a demo of a preliminary version of the system or technique described in the submission.
Details regarding demos will be announced later.
The extended abstracts will be published on the EuroSys 2020 website at the time of the conference, unless authors request otherwise. All poster submissions will be reviewed by the Poster Program Committee.
Accepted posters must be presented by at least one of the authors during the EuroSys 2020 poster session.

NEW in EuroSys’20

We plan to publish online the poster drafts (specifically, the second page of the poster submission) for registered attendees to preview before attending the conference in person.
Authors will be given the opportunity to upload their final version via the submission web-site on the week before the start of the conference.
Posters will be displayed also online (link to be announced later) with the main intent to give attendees more time to look and inspect the accepted posters, rather than restricting this only to the time dedicated to the poster session.

There will be a Best Poster Award. Attendees will receive a voting ballot. Each attendee will be up to cast up to 3 unique votes. Given the change of format to an online event, we decided to refrain from having a best poster award. This award will be resumed next year.
You can check out a nice guide on how to create an effective poster here.
